My name is Orrick Nahmmacher, and Daedalus Fine Carpentry and Remodeling is my life’s work. For the last twenty years, I have worked with homeowners to create living spaces of comfort and beauty. I became a carpenter because I love creating beautiful objects from something so simple and natural — wood from trees. Early on, I had considered becoming a sculpture artist, but I found that I appreciate the challenge of creating an artistic form within a particular function. It is the relationship between what the space requires and what the wood demands that makes furniture building and remodeling so rewarding.
My mission is to help homeowners realize the beauty of their homes. Whether through putting on an addition, adding trellises to a backyard garden, or creating built-in cabinetry that looks like it was always there, I want to help my clients enjoy their homes thoroughly. Home is our retreat; it is where we laugh with our families and entertain our friends. Home is where memories are built. With thoughtful design and beautiful furniture, home is a refuge and a delight.
